NBA 2024 Draft Preview (2024)

The 2024 NBA draft goes this Wednesday and Thursday (June 26th-27th) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (first round only, the second round in New York City). While not viewed as one of the best or deepest draft classes, these selection soiree generally produces some quality.

Betting on the draft is a ‘different’ animal, but the odds are out there, so . . .

Who’s at 1?

Odds to be the No. 1 overall pick (by the Atlanta Hawks, barring a trade) in the 2024 NBA Draft have been out for the last few months, and the board is pretty well settled as of this writing.

Nineteen-year-old Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher, a 6-foot-9 forward, is the clear favorite to go first, priced -280, according to NBA draft odds.

Connecticut’s Donovan Clingan is the 5-2 (+250) second choice in that category, as the 7-2 pivot man was a big part of the Huskies’ consecutive titles.

What’s the NBA Draft Order?

Bucking the odds to win the lottery, the Atlanta Hawks earned the first selection in the draft. Then, it’s the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets (via Brooklyn Nets), San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons.
