The food was very good. My wife had a Philly cheese steak, and I had a chicken fried steak with fries. We both liked what we had. Our son had eggs, bacon, and toast. He seemed to like it, as well. The service was friendly, fast, and helpful. We had the place mostly to ourselves, and it was very quiet.Nothing much to say, as it was overall very good. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that the food was just "OK" and not "Yay!"
Stopped mainly for the convenience. Was pulling a long travel trailer and didn’t want to get stuck in town and not able to park. Ended up being a great meal. Cheeseburgers were tasty and homemade. Also cooked really well. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Would go back for sure!
It was nearly 3 stars on account that I wanted more potatoes. They tasted excellent, but I appreciate her helping my waistline, LOL! I ordered a custom omelet, however they were out of mushrooms, hence the 4 stars. But she was really nice and friendly. She also suggested avocado on the side. Clean place, upbeat atmosphere and the food arrived at my table hot and fast! I'm sure I'll be back if I have the time and route.

The High Chaparral Cafe receives mixed reviews from customers. Some praise the friendly service, tasty homemade food like cheeseburgers and omelets, and the quiet atmosphere. Others criticize the quality of certain dishes like salads with bad lettuce or meatloaf that seemed old. Despite some shortcomings, many appreciate the attentive staff and quick service at this cafe.

Nice server but horrible food. Lettuce in salad was all bad, so it was drowned in 'homemade ranch' 🤮🤮🤮 the mashed potatoes had hard chunks of skin, and the brown gravy had a really weird taste. Tried to get the southwest philly but they were out. Got the fried porkchop. When I got it, the breading came off and it had grill Marks on it 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
We ate dinner and breakfast at the adjoining High Chapperal Cafe. It was very good for the price. The service was great, our food was hot, we got what we ordered and it was good. There was an incident with another gentleman’s food and the staff/cook all went over and beyond to get it right. That was good to see 🤗❗I'd eat here again.
