I’ve thought about selling this bike for a couple years now and now it feels right to part with it, and let someone else enjoy this bike and all the adventures it’ll provide. I bought back in April 2015 from a guy in Portland who had added lots of mods, including the adventure tank, the bark busters, racks for luggage, and the trail tech computer. Then I added a few of my own over the years. Once you get a DR, you get sucked in to getting all the cool mods. Well, I did all that already, so this bike is ready for anything you are.

Below are a list of mods and extras included with the sale.

- PIAA auxiliary light kit mounted with a custom bracket

- LED headlight upgrade

- Headlight grill guard

- Barnett clutch kit

- Fixed neutral sending unit (NSU) issue

- Moose Racing bark busters

- Better looking front fender from a Yamaha something

- Nice aluminum Warp 9 fork brace, which made the front end handle so much better

- Nice tall windscreen. You may opt to not use it , but it comes with.

- Trail Tech Speedo thing but doesn’t work well anymore. Could be an easy fix with the magnet but haven’t bothered to fix It. This does mean that mileage is impossible to track now. I have a stock analog speedo from another DR that I was planning to mount but didn’t get around to It. That’ll be your project ;)

- Large Mojave 5 gal tank

- Nice aluminum bash plate

- Warp 9 wider foot pegs that also lower the peg height (the stock ones are raised 2” or so which makes you feel like a horse jockey. You’ll want these warp 9 ones.

- Warp 9 brake lever

- Warp 9 shift lever

- Cogent Dynamics Mojave Pro shock complete assembly purchased from Procycle. Best one they make. $1200. This is a huge and important mod bc you’ll hear everyone complain about the DR stock suspension. This and the Cogent Front Fork Solution Kit make a world of difference for handling.

- Nice wide Corbin seat ($500 new) that I had reupholstered with a really pretty tan leather from Aro Apolstery

- Yoshimura pipe. Sounds mean and pretty loud… it’s fun!

- The rear tail light and fender were upgraded by the previous owner to make the DR rear end look better. The LED turn signals make a nice sleek touch. Front left is a little touch and go, just needs a little wiring patch.

- There’s a nice rack on the back (BBQ rack or whatever they’re called). I also have another side rack you can have that is for mounting side boxes. I had army cans on them once (see pic). You can mount soft bags for cheaper and they don’t break when you lay the bike down like my army cans did.

- Engine cover plates for added protection, say if you dropped your bike on a sharp rock on a trail way out in the sticks and you crack your engine. This prevents that. Also there’s a master cylinder cage to protect that. All important precautions for riding off-road.

Maintenance details:
- Oil and filter always changed on time i~ 600 miles ago changed both
- Fairly new brake pads (less than 1k) and newly bled brakes
- New battery purchased recently
- Engine rebuilt about 3k miles ago because the drive shaft bearing failed and was replaced. While we were at it we replaced the piston rings, piston pin and ported the intake and exhaust to give it a little more power.
- Chain is in good shape and recently oiled

Extras Not Pictured:
- Clymber manual with log of maintenance
- Nice luggage rack (forget model)
- stock speedometer

I’m going to keep green pelican case for another bike.

I’ve taken this bike on a bunch of great dual sport rides strait from the garage to the trails, trailered It to Mendocino and Humboldt to ride trails, OHV parks, Death Valley, Tahoe, etc. now its time for someone else to take on tons more. This bike could ride to Alaska and back, Patagonia and back. People love these for those dual sport touring rides. This bike is so fun on fire roads and trails. Equally as fun in the paved twistys.

The first photos were taken a day before this post. The others are over the years of owning the bike with different setups and rides.

Come take a look.
